First off, I'll be the first to {sheepishly} admit that I am a "fallen" blog-a-month-er. I checked and there isn't a "blog-a-year" category for people like me who miss several months. While there is no way to rewind to change the past, I can make an effort to post monthly in 2015. Looking back over the past six months, how I wish I had taken time to chronicle my learning! So many great things happened: conferences for learning (nErDcampMI was the highlight of my summer learning, and my first 5K - okay, I admit to walking pretty much the entire thing), family vacations (several delightful days were spent exploring southern Montana with the kiddo pictured at the top of the rock in the photo to the left), a new school year started with a "wicked-smart" group of 8-9 year olds, holidays were celebrated with family, I did lots of reading and learning, and - oh yes, sprinkle in some workout time (so I can maybe run part of this year's nErDcamp 5K). There, we are all caught up - in one single, incredibly long, run-on sentence! And now, finally - only about 50 days late - I'm taking time to explain my #oneword for 2015. REACH works for me because it gives me a chance to reach both within and out to find strength, peace, light, learning, and love. I can reach up for help or guidance, as well as reach down to help someone else up. Reaching beyond will help me grow into a better person! May 2015 (all ten and a half months that remain) be filled with chances for us all to REACH in ways that help us to stretch, learn, and grow!
