I've been keeping a little list of several of the fun formats I've see used for slicing this month. I've tried out a couple of them, and with only nine days to go I am not sure I'll make it to all of them. Here they are (in no particular order, and some linked):

Great idea!!! I also love the 10 things Thursday format and I tried my memoir in chapters.

I used to do these with my 6th graders and they were awesome! We would also take pictures of them and use different filters to allow students to create their own unique poem. Such a great idea!!! I'm excited to pass on this idea to my classroom teachers!

Thanks for your comments - and for inspiring me! Anne, I looked at your "before that" post from last year and love it! I especially love how your beginning and ending photos conjure up thoughts of the end and beginning of the day. Thanks for another strategy to add to my list.
